      yes! there have been times in the past though where i’ve introduced my friends to things i enjoy only for them to like it “too much”, making me jealous and regretful

      oh my god yes! one of my special interests is classic rock, and i absolutely love the Beatles. they've been my favorite band for years, in my head they're my thing. one of my friends (who is being a dick to me rn) is doing a cover of one of their songs in his choir and I feel silly for being peeved about it but I kind of am. they're my thing and he's been absolutely awful to me and now he's singing songs from my band!! ugh. (I'm not actually super upset, just side eyeing him from here)

      Absolutely. My special interest is ironically medical conditions, and when others begin talking about it, I get kinda nervous. Like maybe I'll be seen as less knowledgeable about it, so I tend to start telling people the interesting stuff I know. I also correct people when they get things wrong because it kinda makes me anxious when people are spreading misinfo
