My favorite Lorde song is Writer in the Dark. On my way to work a few weeks ago, it caused certain feelings to come up. Then, about a week later, I realized where those came from. Guess I still have a lot of emotions to deal with regarding a past abuserā¦. Fun. But I also have too many other things going on that are immediate topics in therapy. The issue here is that my eating disorder has been getting worse and worse, which, for me, is typically a precursor to a bad PTSD episode. But about a different abuser. The particular trauma that causes flashbacks, panic attacks, hallucinations, and delusions. Too many therapy topics going on!! Argh! I should probably get refills of my propranolol and prazosin to prep. :/

Have you tried to remove any triggers? I found this liberating. Colors, gifts that remind me or trigger. It is important to have a safe place you can go to for help.
