Is it possible to have dreams about trauma you don't remember because you repressed it?

I believe this is actually fairly common, and a method used of unpacking trauma.

Yes! This is how I uncovered a lot of repressed trauma; through dreams, daydreams and even “phantom” sensations 💚

Yes it did this the most with sexual trauma. Give your brain time to unpack things and put some more focus into caring for your sleep hygiene. Sometimes the nightmares dont show the specific thing but can show similar things in graphic and abstract ways. Journaling can help piece it together. I am sorry you may be experiencing this. Message me if you need to talk to someone who understands this issue. ❤️

Wondering the same… recently diagnosed with OSDD and I told my therapist during a session how I’ve only had one nightmare ever and it was extremely vivid. Makes me wonder if it’s a trauma thing that’s been very dissociated..
