Well I received the MRI of my cervical spine. It's not much better than the lumbar. All disc are herniated or bulged, spondylosis, DDD, MORE foraminal narrowing and stenosis. A disc protrusion at C6-7 with impingement on c7 nerve root, plus flattening of left ventral cord. Might b reason for my migraines. Almost every single disc in my back is bad. I just don't get why. Never had any accidents. I'm only 42. issues since my 20s. Anyone have any of this? What do they do w flattening of ventral? Can I even recover from all this? Doesn't seem logical.

ya that's my thoughts as well, looks like surgery in my near future. The ventral cord flattening is concerning. I do have issues w coordination and sensory issues. Bruises all over my body all the time idk where came from. The cervical looks worse but my lumbar is what causes my pain. All along my butt and hips. It always feels hot and on fire. I have spurs in my hips. Well I have spurs all over my body. So they never told u why u were so young w those issues? No trauma? Literally I have so many issues, not just my back. I just feel like there's got 2b a main cause. And I'm a very petite lady. Only a few years recently I got up 2 150. After pregnancy. I'm 127 RN. I have had back issues since I was pregnant w my son, he's now 19. I was 23. Just cud never get Drs 2 believe me. Had many referrals for MRI they wouldn't fight 2 get thru, cuz my age. If I knew ahead of time I wouldn't b so bad rn.

I had my first surgery (lumbar) a week after my 22nd birthday. I've also had a thoracic and a cervical and have another cervical planned. I also have a stimulator, so I can't have an MRI. I had to have a myelogram instead and was told that I have congenital spinal stenosis. The space around your spinal cord is usually around 15 mm, but mine is only 8, so it doesn't take much for me to have a herniation. I was basically told that I would have to have surgery whenever it causes problems, since there isn't anything else they can do. I'm 45 now.
