How do you personally cope with narcolepsy?

Give myself a break. It's hard to let myself say no and that I can't do something because I'm too tired, or ask for accommodations from friends when planning an event together, because I *want* to do it. Just giving myself a lot of understanding, that I can't do everything everyone else can and that's okay.

I’m not sure but I do think sticking to a consistent routine is key. I’ve learned that it’s ok if you break your routine sometimes due to sleeping in too late or taking too long of a nap- you just get up and continue like you normally would as if you didn’t sleep at all :)

I just try to give myself the most grace possible. I give myself breaks from my meds so I can rest if I really need to. I try to stick to routines as much as possible. Trying to build community with ppl who get it. I do a lot of affirmations and just try to meet myself where I am at. I know that’s probably not the answer you wanted. It’s been the most helpful for me thus far.
