How long did it take for Lyrica to take full effect for you? Did you have to increase your dosage? (Diabetic neuropathy and fibromyalgia here! It's not helping me at all....šŸ˜ž)

I started on a low dose of Lyrica but now Iā€™m maxed out at 200mg 3Xā€™s a day.

I just started it this month and take 50mg 2 times daily, about to start three times daily tomorrow. My doctor wants to keep me at a low dosage since we're still learning but will continue if needed. I would recommend calling or emailing your doctor and explain what you're feeling/not feeling.

Hi! I have taken Lyrica since February and needed to increase 4 times before feeling an effect. Currently taking 200 mg 3x daily

I've been on Lyrica for 3 years and I haven't needed to change dosage consistently. But when I have a flare I do increase it then.

So Lyrica (Pregabalin) is often an alternative for another drug in the same family (Gabapentin). To my understanding, if one doesnā€™t work for someone, theyā€™re often prescribed the other. So ask your doctor about ā€œGabapentinā€.
