I was just recently diagnosed with narcolepsy. But they had to diagnose through medication because my psych meds wouldn't allow for the test. Has anyone else gone through this? Where one condition and it's meds interfere with diagnosis or treatment of another?

Yeah I was on Wellbutrin during my sleep study so it suppressed my REM sleep. So the test wasn’t completely accurate based on that, but because of my symptoms plus my average time falling asleep was 4 min (20 min is normal), they felt comfortable diagnosing me with narcolepsy.
