if this surgery has taught me anything, it’s that i have hella ptsd around being itchy. i cant scratch the drains bc duh, but i keep being shot back into that little kid who squirmed in church bc his shirt was too tight and he was allergic to the material. to the boy who sobbed at night bc he woke up w bloody legs from sleep scratching. it’s genuinely terrifying how much it effects me now
