Seeking Advice on PMDD Treatment Options

I’m also trying to figure out what to do about my PMDD. I’m currently on the depo provera shot and it’s pretty good. I’m looking into Yaz birth control soon because it was FDA approved to treat PMDD.

I got some relief from low dose Zoloft for many years but last year I got a hormonal IUD and that was finally enough to get off the Zoloft (hopefully -- I've only been off for a couple months 🤞)

Check out the IAPMD.org website, they have a section on efficacy of the different treatments you can try before going to Lupron (chemical menopause.) I'm personally on Lexapro and it helps a lot with depression but I still have very bad physical symptoms.

I still want kids one day so I wouldn't want to do that. I'm currently on an SNRI and it's already helped after a month
