I’m getting my spine fused exactly a month from today. I try to stay positive, but this is the most terrifying thing I’ve ever gone through.

I had a fusion in 2013 and then I had complications so I had to have 4 more in 2017 from my screws coming loose. Now I’m in chronic pain. I hope your experience isn’t as severe as mine was.

Sorry to hear. My doctor recommended that for me but I have no one to take care of me. He said it would take a year of recovery

I am about to have an anterior spinal fusion next week. I have a multitude of spine issues all from a car accident 25 years ago. Anyway, I now have scoliosis and will be fused from T10-S. 2 separate surgeries 3 days apart. Not gonna lie, I'm terrified!! I love the Lord 🙏🏼❣️ I'm praying and trusting in Him.

I had mine done 10 years ago. 45° double S curve, fused all the way up from L5 and reinforced wirh titanium. I was only supposed be in ICU recovery a few days. Unfortunately, it was extended because I kept squirming and screaming in pain. The doctor got mad and told me that I needed to be quiet so that they could have my room. Turns out, I didn't get any pain meds. 😐 After I got pain meds, everything went smoothly. I had a full recovery. So all good in the end, I guess🤷

I have to get mine done in the next few years and I’ve been putting it off for 7. I completely know how you feel and I’m so sorry you have to go through this. I’m thinking good thoughts for you
