Lately I've been struggling with a bit of a depressive mode. I have just become an adult and I don't know what I want for my future. I like a lot of things! I like music, photography, studying psychology, writing, drawing....but I don't know what I want to do for a career for the rest of my life. So naturally, I say that maybe I just don't have what it takes. Maybe I've focused too much on personal trauma that I have missed my present and I don't know what to do for my future. It's really hard for me to figure things out right now without thinking irrationally. I don't know what to do...

There’s a saying that people misuse. It’s: “A jack of all trades is a master of none,” But it continues; “but better than a master of one”. Meaning, you don’t have to pick just one thing to do. Our core, Willow, streams on twitch, draws, sculpts, paints, sings, dances, writes, and so much more. You can do whatever you want want. You do NOT have to settle on one thing. Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t pursue your dreams. —Dabi

Okay so this didn't get through to me until I was already there but like dont worry. You'll get wherever it is you're meant to be. Opportunities will come up as you explore each one and in the beginning of college you can remain u decided to test things out and see what is best. All through your life your careers can be fluid. I plan to go to cosmetology school, get into a salon, and start a new school, who knows what yet lol why not find out what else I might enjoy. Just talk to people explore try new things for all you know you may realize your true passion is none of those and have a full career in something entirely new a year from now

It's crazy, all the things you listed are my passions too! And I'm 18 and about to graduate high school, I definitely agree that it's all very overwhelming and confusing. I've been debating where I should go with my career, what I can really do.... but I realized that pretty much everyone is quite confused right now, we're only at the beginning of our lives. We don't have to be certain of anything yet. Soon enough we will have answers, the universe may throw something your way that will make it easier to understand yourself and what choices to make. Everything will be okay❤️❤️

Remember you have a lot of time left! Try things out one at a time and if something isn’t working for you it’s never too late to switch. A lot of adults I know didn’t find what they enjoyed the most until much later in life and that’s okay! Take as much time as you need.

Let me tell you that at that age it's normal not to know what to do with your life. You don't have to have it all figured out, you still have time. I'm 23 and still figuring it out and that's okay! Time will bring things together and you never know where life will take you. My advice, don't worry about the details of the future and ride the waves that life gives you. Whether you go to college, community college, work for awhile, or even take some time for you it will come together. Just be open to the opportunities!

First of, you're still on your present darling, I know the future sounds scary when you think that you don't know what's going on, but nobody learned to walk running, concentrate on what is now, put small goals for yourself and go slowly, enjoy and learn from the present so when you get to the future you'll look back and know you're on track!
