I have bilateral TN2 and all 3 branches are effected. I get bone crushing pain, burning (like my face is in fire), electrocution zapping pains, tingling, numbness, swelling, left eye pain, migraines and left ear stabbing pain. Thank God for Nortriptyline! I don't think I would had lasted much longer with out it. I was diagnosed in 2014 and was not properly treated until 2020. My TN is caused by a brain tumor!
similar situation. Just unilateral TN1 and 2. Imipramine helped but I couldn't tolerate the side effects same side effects with nortriptyline. Im glad it helps you.
