Hip Pain: Muscles or Joint?

I have this pain in my hip but i can’t tell if it’s muscles or the joint? It’s on the outer part of my leg. But it only hurts with certain movements. Not with every step I take. Started hurting when I was in the store

Is the pain in one specific place, or does it run down the outside of your leg toward your knee? If it runs down toward the knee, could be your IT Band. Ive had lots of issues with mine over the years.

Hiya! If it feels like the pain is almost in your butt cheek, it’s probably a displaced pelvis.

Hmm… it sounds like muscle pain maybe? Idk, I am not a doctor, just a zebra with hip pain. Is it sharp and sort of stabby feeling, or sore, achy, tired- feeling? Sorry I can’t be more helpful.
