my girlfriend of 3 years just broke up with me. after everything with the Supreme Court happened, she got depressed and weird. I tried to help her the best I could, I never thought that she was considered breaking it off. before this she was constantly wanting to just go to the courthouse and get married, we were crazy happy. it was just all of a sudden and caught me off guard, I never even thought we would break up. I moved out but now I'm with family, who all of them are married and argue constantly. it doesn't feel fair, we almost never fought, why do they get to last and we don't. she said she just wants to be on her own right now, but I just want to be with her. I want to help her though whatever she's going through but she doesn't want me. she's been using drugs and drinking a lot more, I just wish she would let me in. it's like I don't recognize her rn, I feel so helpless, I just lover her so much.

@Jfinn72 I'm not exactly familiar with that disease, but I don't know how you could keep putting yourself through that? I don't understand how she could keep putting you through that either.. do therapist help manage that disorder?

I'm on Zoloft and might be worth talking to me about and her. I can tell you about how it helped me in the messages if you like. It's just embarrassing how childish I sound sometimes if you listen.
My fiance of 3 years just broke up with me this week too. Although she has borderline personality disorder and if you know anything about that it is such a horrible disease. I love her and it sounds like you and I have a lot in common. We have gone back and forth five times and I don't think I can do it again. Not for my mental health and not for the mental health of my daughter. It hurts like hell because I love her so much. But I have to do this. I feel your pain my friend. Every ounce of itđ

There's really not much you can do if she pushes you away. If you're able to, reach out to her relatives or friends and say how you're worried about her and ask them to check up on her. People will push those they care about away when their pain gets too much, unfortunately. Don't lose yourself through this difficult time.
The best thing to do is to completely ignore her until she is ready to talk. Itâs actually a philosophical phenomenon that occurs in women called the âpull away.â Google it. You need to demonstrate that youâre able to be strong and independent without her. Begging for attention will only push her further away. You cannot be upset with her when she does come back, though.
@SalamanderJiggles I wouldn't be angry when she comes back, I just don't think I can trust her again. What if she does it again later??
