There is testing out there that can help your doctor understand what meds could potentially work best for you. You could aske them about it. And if you're not in therapy that can be a big help.

I have had to change medications several times. It is different with everyone. Some people can take a certain medication and be ok, I have tried several and now my current medication is working. My doctor wants to put me on Prozac as well for my anxiety. I might go with it since my anxiety if through the roof right now. I need something coupled with my current med since my blood pressure is being affected. It just takes time and I also found distracting your self during these times helps also. I have done crafts, drawings, Journaling, music and so forth to help as well.

It can take a very very long time to figure out what medication will work for you. It can take 2-3 months to see a difference and it can take trying several different medications. I have treatment resistant issues and have tried lots of different medications and am now doing ketamine infusions to help. I have lost hope numerous times, but something will eventually work, I have to believe that and I encourage you to believe the same.

Try to go on drugs.com and see Medication treatment reviews and how it worked for other people. I’ve been on about 8 different antidepressants and had to wait 11 months until I found one that worked for me, but it was worth the wait. Just keep swimming!

@Onefortheroad23 (The medication that helped me was symbyax btw)
