Do other autistic people struggle with seatbelts? They're so uncomfy but I don't want to just not wear it because I want to be safe

@KittyRosa Okay it's called a seatbelt adjuster however there are many styles it looks like. I use one that slides on and the part that goes across your body and shoulder slides into a clip and you can adjust it easily so the seatbelt is still securely and safely across you but not uncomfortably against your throat. It doesn't have a specific name and sadly it still looks like you can't upload pictures. I am not sure if I should add a link to the one I use but if anyone is curious and I shall share

I've always sat on the right side of a car since I was old enough to sit in a car on my own. Now it's become such a habit that if I sit on the left side then the seatbelt feels very uncomfortable. I still think the seatbelt on the right side is uncomfortable, but it's manageable.

I use this installer where the seatbelt is not as close to my throat, it's some sort of clip that helps the seatbelt sit more comfortably on me and in a way it feels more secure too. Every time I sit in a different car like a friend's I am reminded how much I hate them laying across my neck the way they do otherwise. I can't remember what it's called but if I find out, I will update
I despise seatbelts, I personally recommend buying covers for them {but test the covers first to find the material right for you}

When I was little seatbelts gave me such bad meltdowns 😭 they rubbed on my neck and chest in such an awful way. I am a grown adult now though who has the money for seatbelt covers, which help 😌
@ShortcakeBirdie yeah it felt like they were choking me
Yeah kinda- I like when they are super tight and squish me sometimes but sometimes they are bleh and then sometimes I get dizzy without them cause I move and then I don't have the seatbelt that I thought I was wearing
Yes!
I also really hate the feeling of seatbelts, one thing that can help is wearing a seatbelt cover, it really makes things more comfy when I'm in the car
