How Often Should You Get Esophagus Dilation for EoE?

My gastroenterologist did a esophagus dilation on me, and he said as long as I am not experiencing severe trouble swallowing anymore I would not have to have the procedure done again. He said you don't want to have esophagus dilation done too much in a short time span, as it can damage the esophagus. He said it should be done gradually. He said if my symptoms get bad again though that he would have to do the procedure again.
