So I had originally started taking Sertraline on top of Quetiapine for my anxiety, depression, and psychosomatic disorder. Sertraline seemed to work great, but was rough on my digestive system. My doctor switched me to paroxetine, and it's doing something but not enough. Should I ask for a higher dosage or switch drugs altogether?

When did you started to take paroxetine? I remember when I started to take prozac it took approximately a month until I felt any change. I was worried back then but my doctor told me that it usually takes 4 to 6 weeks for SSRI drugs to work so I waited it out and it ended up helping a lot in my process

Hey Sweags, your psychiatrist might’ve prescribed you the lower dose for starters to see how your digestive system reacts. I think you should see him again. From my experience, if there’s low efficacy without side effects, they usually just need to prescribe a higher dose.
