I big part of my anxiety recently has been about my familial relationships. my mom has brought to light a lot of stuff that makes me weary of the views I had of my grandparents before and at the same time I've reached out to my older brother on her side that hasn't seen or spoken to her since he was two years old. I really just wanted to share and write these observations down since this will eventually come around in my mind again and I could just comment on this post with my later thoughts.

i feel the same way, i get anxiety sometimes when i think about a familial relationship i have… don’t want to get into it too much, but i feel like i need to apologize for our falling out in the past and reconnect with this person, but i don’t know when the right opportunity is nor how to approach it/them.

Some of my family stopped talking to my grandma because she developed some anti-lgbt views, but I feel awful about it because I grew up visiting her every week and we were all really close. So I get your situation a little, honestly my only advice is try not to think about it

@JoshAG I was raised by my grandparents because the accused my mom of being abused and therefore neglecting us as toddlers, but after hearing how my grandma talks of my mom, my mom talks of my grana, and how my mom describes her relationship with her dad, step dad, and mom makes me realize she isn't the delusional one like I was raised to believe. My grandma was always anti LGBTQ and for a few years I was indoctrinated after years of my childhood arguing with her about why it doesn't make sense
