The only thing stopping me from offing myself is the fact I'm an empath and I don't want to upset people and cause others trauma.

      Sending love ❤️ I know it must be hard with the thoughts. I don't know if this helps but even just remembering how much joy your cat brings to you, how much they mean to you can be another reason to keep going on. Whether they are your current anchor, being able to have more days of life can bring more love and joy with more cats and the passion that can come from loving them and giving them such a fulfilling life. Empaths are so hard to find ❤️ You are so much more than you may think, you are worthy and loved. Sounds cheesy but you are making a difference just by caring for others

      Yea I had existential/suicidal thoughts quite young and figured this out, has kept me going even when I've been unable to do anything else.

      I remember when I first told my therapist that I stay alive only for my cat, he had no clue how to respond 😹 but yes I'm in the same boat as far as that goes, being empaths is saving us and giving us time to find light

        @Floppa434 I gotta stay alive for my dog lol He goes absolutely bat crap crazy if I leave just to go to the bathroom. 5 minutes is too long. Imagine the rest of his life??

      You know that sounds legit. Sounds just like me. The world be utter chaos without us empathy. We need to stick together, stay strong and be the ones to lift up those who need lifting. Not just anyone can do that you know. It takes very special people. Us. You. Me. Im glad you want to stick around. I didnt know any other empaths existed before. ❤️
