Anxious today as I have a mammogram to be done today. I have a tumor that was beign but wondering if there is a chance it can turn into something else. I have had a biopsy done and have a marker indicating that. But I think they are monitoring it. That has me so worried. 😔

@Kadair I’m so happy for you. Your hubby’s surgery will go great, I’ve decided.

@DaisyMae7 thank you! I have more testing this Thursday. They said that found some "changes". It is hard not to worry with this it has become overwhelming! I am going to school, my husband is having surgery, my brother pulled his crap, and now this! My anxiety has been through the roof needless to say!!

Since it worries you, talk to a doctor, PA, nurse, etc, when you go in for your mammogram. Explain your fears, ask if that’s something you should worry about (the marker could be so they know it’s nothing to be concerned about when it shows up in scans). I’m 33 and only just had a breast exam where I finally understood what to look for (lump is not a helpful term on its own, cause boobs are fat and fat is lumpy), because I expressed concern over another part of my physical and my PA took that as a cue to explain everything she was doing and ask if I had questions. Sometimes you just need to let them know you’re concerned as opposed to toughing it out. Also, from what my mother has told me (21 years breast cancer free and counting!), generally people working with mammograms will fall over themselves to ensure patients understand. I hope everything goes well and you have the most boring mammogram in existence!

@Kadair I’m sorry I didn’t respond sooner, the adhd med shortage is doing me no favors. Is it the benign tumor they’re looking at or something else? It could be you have grown another benign one, but they have to triple check. Regardless, try not to panic and I hope it turns out there was a shadow on the image or something like that (something like that did actually happen to my mother, it was terrifying for her until the head radiologist came in, studied it, and told off the tech for scaring her like that - against protocol to tell patient potential bad thing on questionable scans, they go directly for review). 💚

@DaisyMae7 thank you so much! It had been stressful since December as I had to kick my brother out of the house and also my husband is also having surgery on the 3rd! So overwhelming right now!
