Does anyone have any tips for itchy/painful cystic acne? I'm already on birth control and an androgen blocker, and use CeraVe. It helps with my face, but my cystic acne is located on my back and within recent months it's flared up (and for the first time ever, some of it is on my neck??). It's so fucking hard trying to resist scratching and picking :/ I'm gonna set up an appointment with a dermatologist since my gynecologist put in a referral for me, but right now I just need tips on helping the itchiness. I even use a benzoyl perxodide wash like my gynecologist said. It's hormonal but I feel so gross :(

Have you trialed antibiotics? Several years ago I had a client who had absolutely painful cystic acne and it cleared up rather quickly with prescription plus topical. It may be worth discussing.
