(( TW: ED )) With my physical health, I’m currently having to eat four full meals a day, as if I don’t the medication I’m on makes me severely vomit. As someone who wasn’t eating barely at all before this medication, it’s very hard to suddenly start eating even the tiniest bit. I have another month left of doing this, but in the meantime does anyone have any tips for the anxiety and distress that comes along with eating?

Do you think substituting meals if you can’t handle so many with protein drinks or meal substitution drinks instead could be of any help or still keep you from getting so sick? I remember when I was in the hospital I couldn’t handle meals so I was given ensure, and it helped me alot with the amount of rising nausea I’d have from my meds because it still provided nutrition in some way. Or smoothies when I was at home! That could relieve some of my anxiety because I could be the one to choose what goes in it, and also knew what would specifically help with the side-effects I was having(for ex, although it may sound gross, but ginger root. Or other random stuff I’ve found that helped my body handle the meds better). I know that may still be hard to handle at times, but small steps. You don’t need to throw yourself into such a strict routine all at once

@Kaiiyla That’s great advice, thank you so much! I’m going to see if protein drinks / smoothies provide enough substance for me to take with my medication <3
