Hello! I’m 20, from the Bay Area, CA. I have struggled with my ADHD for my whole life, I was diagnosed around the age of seven or eight. depression has been another struggle that has been present throughout my life. I was officially diagnosed when I was about 12 or 13, anxiety came in high school and I’ve struggled with that ever since. Never feeling good enough never feeling that my accomplishments were big enough etc.. I’ve always struggled with my relationship with food. Food has always been a comfort mechanism for me. It is always been a way to feel good in the moment and bad after I’m not officially diagnosed with binge eating disorder, but I know I have it. I was diagnosed with my TMJ in 2021, my jaw issues started then, and have continued now. I’m not quite sure what I’m looking for on this app I guess just someone to relate to someone to talk to, and someone that has common issues as me :):

Welcome! I’m able to relate a lot with your diagnoses, and hopefully being diagnosed early on helped out a bit with treatment! I also have a very similar relationship with food, so I can sympathize with episodes of binge eating. Never hesitate to ask questions on here because it’s at least been really helpful for me! :)

Hello Giailah, I also struggle with anxiety/depression and I also have a tough relationship with food and I don't really like food at all because of my texture issues due to my autism.
@dragonknight I’m a very picky eater, texture is also really important to me, too mushy is just a no-go for me, but this almost makes my binge eating worse since i go to “comfort foods” or things that i know i like which are often not very healthy, and when i’m feeling super depressed I get something sweet like i’ve cream or something like that and eat it all, but i always end up feeling worse, especially since i’ve always had a horrible relationship with my body.
