I have a new job tomorrow and whenever I start a new job I get so SEVERELY nauseous and end up throwing up a ton. I hate this severe anxiety/panic response because it feels debilitating and prevents me from doing my best at the start of a new job. Any ideas on how to alleviate it? I’ve tried medication and it rarely works.

dōTERRA essential oils, digestzen and peppermint. I have an extra phobia of throwing up and haven’t in nine years thanks to these two oils!

Ginger (tea, lozenge) and cannabis help my nausea, but I understand everyone is different. I’ve also heard a trick where sniffing rubbing alcohol is supposed to help but I always forget to try.

I use to get so nervous the day before work and the morning or day of (now I’m on disability so I don’t work now) but I understand how hard it is And I used to have stress induced nausea I took a medicine called amitriptyline or something like that It’s for stomach problems caused by anxiety I think it helped I’m off of it now and I feel a lot better Idk if you tried that one tho I always pray of course when I have anxiety and I seen a thing where you think of the worst, the best, and what’s most likely to happen and know that what most likely what’s gonna happen is at least usually what happens I hope and pray it’s a great day!! I think once you learn the routine of your job and the people and your tasks you can stop thinking as much the day before or the day of and not think about work at all until your going there One day at a time

Hey! I wish I had something helpful to say. But reading your message made my heart beat super fast. All I can say is try to be confident, understand you are more then a job so if it doesn’t work out that is okay, try to go prepared with comfort items that will make you feel safe. Like when I go places. I bring something warm, a drink, my pain meds, a piece of candy, and play calm music
