Possible DID diagnosis, seeking advice

I haven't been officially diagnosed with DID but I am almost certain I have it. I also have a history of childhood abuse so I would definitely meet the criteria for it. It was really bad throughout highschool but I didn't realize what it was. I always thought he was a supernatural being that possessed me in a way. It has definitely calmed down a bit as I've gotten older. However I regularly disassociate and forget things that I did and it feels like I am laying dormant in my own body. Other times my alter and I are co-con or he takes control of the body completely (usually in incredibly stressful situations but other times it just happens). I am trying to find a specialist to officially diagnose me but I wanted to talk with other people who actually have DID so I can compare and see if the symptoms are similar to mine. Thank you for reading I'm just trying to get some help for this because he has been there ever since I can remember.
