What kind of treatment do you guys use to treat PMDD? It's really interfering with my daily life and I'm exhausted. I just want to feel grounded for once. I'd prefer not to use antidepressants or birth control as I've had bad experiences in the past, but what works for you??
if you’ve just tried one or two antidepressants/birth controls then i would strongly recommend talking to your doctor about a new one. each one will have a different affect on you and they have different effects on different people. my first antidepressant was zoloft and i could not stay away for more than 4 hours a day, but citalopram has been really helpful for me.
I would love to hear any suggestions as well. I’m currently on prozac and abilify, but it’s more effective for my anxiety than PMDD. I’m also a bit scared of birth control. PMDD is hard, and I’m wishing you the best!<3
