Yes. I was tested as a candidate for them last year at Temple Lung Center in Philadelphia. My Doctor is Dr. Gerald Criner, one of the first Doctor to preform the procedure. I unfortunately, an not a candidate for them, but belive me, they are a real game changer for some people with severe emphysema.

Dear Diff thank you for your input on Zephyr Valves and I'm sorry that you weren't a candidate for them. My Dr is Dr Daniel Wyzan at the St Vincents Lung Institute and I believe that he is the only one in this area that does them. I am going to be tested on June the 10th and I will find out ifcI am a candidate for them. I really hope that I am because I am now in a wheelchair because of my lungs and I have a very difficult time breathing with any movement at all. I'm out of breath just moving from my couch to my wheelchair and I have to stop often to call my breathing down. My mother had Emphama and was on oxygen for her last 4 years but she lived till she was 87 and I'm only 64, I sure hope I get the Zephyr valves if I have 20+ years left of living I want to be able to do something besides sit!
