Dealing with Workplace Trauma: Has Anyone Else Experienced This?

My work tried arguing with me to go back in on Friday yesterday and I'm just dumbfounded. I saw this at work and they expect me to get over it in 4 days? They didn't pay me enough for what I saw.

Yep! My first serious relationship was with someone who constantly threatened suicide and would often self harm. It was very traumatizing. You're not alone in being impacted by others self harming or worse. We are here for you ❤️❤️❤️

Lots of kids committing suicide at my local school. I’m with you. It’s scary and anything can be trauma to someone. Talking to a therapist or someone trusted really helps. Best of luck.

Not suicide but one of my residents had a massive heart attack. My coworker and I were instructed to do CPR after calling 911. Sadly they weren't able to be saved. I came to terms that no matter what we/the paramedics did they couldn't have been saved. I attended their funeral as well as multiple therapy sessions and it helped a lot.

Hi Skye, so sorry you had to see that. I saw an accident once and it stayed with me for a couple of days. On the next therapy session I had I brought it up and started to process it all, but it did take some time. I’m completely over it now🙌🏻
