I’ve been working at my job for about one year. A new coworker started a couple months ago and I like instantly made him my favorite person because he understood my humor and he was very sweet. I flipped on him about a week ago because he told me his two best friends were girls, and he had previously ask both on a date. They rejected him but he still wanted to be friends. I know I’m just being insecure and everything, but I already flipped and after I did that he blocked my number. His birthday is today and all throughout this week at work I have him the presents I had already ordered. He said thanks, but that’s really it. I was hurt he didn’t really appreciate the effort and money and time I put into the gifts. I still liked him though. Last night after taking my sleep medication I messaged him on Instagram about how badly I wanted to… with him. He rejected me and blocked my Instagram account. I am really embarrassed and I have to see him on Monday and I’m just thinking about quitting because it doesn’t feel like it’s worth it. Any advice?

Having people leave sucks. I’m so sorry. The best thing I can say is, move on as best you can. Your life, your job, your happiness, they’re all so much bigger than this one relationship. Try to think about other things that bring you joy.
