I decided not to work during my treatments because I wanted to focus entirely on my health. Talking to my boss was nerve-wracking, but it turned out better than I expected. I explained my diagnosis and that I would need to take a leave of absence for my health. My boss was understanding and supportive.

I did try to work during my treatments, but it was quite challenging. I had to have an honest conversation with my boss, i asked for flexible hours or working from home on days when I felt up to it.
