I went to the dentist today to see what can be done about my wisdom tooth (it has a hole and it's been hurting so I've been taking ibuprofen) the dentist offered to pull it out and he was very nice about it. I wanted tooth removal to be a last option, but unfortunately my tooth is bad enough that it has to be pulled. He understood my anxiety and got me to laugh. and the nurse was really kind too, she told me her experience with having her wisdom teeth removed and it made me feel a little less like I was crazy for panicking. I was on the cusp of falling into a panic attack and opted for an oral surgeon. The dentist gave me his two best recommendations that would be covered by my insurance. I'll be calling one tomorrow, because the other is closed through January 4 of next year. I feel slightly better knowing I won't be awake for my tooth removal but I'm still really really scared.

I had my wisdom teeth removed by an oral surgeon. See if they can give you something to help with the anxiety before hand if that’s something you’d want to do. It’ll be over before you know it! Good luck! ❤️

I was awake for my wisdom teeth. They kept saying that I had really strong teeth and complained that they kept breaking drill bits. It took them a long time to get it all out. They broke them into pieces. Later I found they didn’t get it all out. But Hawaii is known for their poor healthcare there. It’s probably better now but this particular Dentist wasn’t great. Yours is going to go super smooth. Once they put laughing gas in you you won’t care

I was terrified for my wisdom tooth removal because I would be under sedation, turns out a few weeks before I had to go under anasthesia for an endoscopy (which wasnt bad at all!!) so I was more scared for the pain in the end. I’ve always hated dentists, and it was worse have to do oral surgery. Unfortunately, it was painful, but when the pain subsided after about a week and a half, I was relieved to have it done.

tbh the dentist terrifies me, but they take care of you and if you're lucky, will help you through it and after
