Need advice on getting wisdom teeth and tonsils removed

Heyyyy, so I need to get my wisdom teeth and my tonsils out before college in the fall, any personal experiences or advice would be great I'm having severe anxiety because I've never had surgery or be given anasthesia and Im a lil control freak who doesn't want people all over me. πŸ˜ƒ

i was sooo nervous for my wisdom teeth removal. they were aware of my anxiety, and because my veins are so small they could not get the IV in, i was freaking out. after about an hour, they got it in and told me to relax and i was just talking and then i passed out and woke up talking nonsense and came home and went to sleep :) don’t stress it! wear comfy clothes and bring someone to drive u home πŸ’“

I had my wisdom teeth pulled a couple years ago and they let me use my headphones during the procedure! Also helps to wear comfy clothes and short sleeves!

I've had quite a few surgeries before, including wisdom teeth removal. For me, it has always helped doing a lot of research on the procedure/what to expect. Idk if you're not a fan of blood or any of that kind of stuff, but the knowledge of exactly what is going on and what's happening to me helps keep me a lot. In addition, I like making a presurgery playlist to listen to. This helps a ton with downtime waiting to get back to the procedure. Hope that helps!
