I just looked it up and although I didn’t have this test I did have a gastric emptying test for my gastroparesis- they look similar or the same to me.. i assume the difference is I only had the upper stomach done I think. So you go in and they give you an egg to eat that is injected with a radioactive compound possibly a drink too for you - and then you go in and they take a picture than you wait a while and they take another and that continues till they are done it is very easy. This way the can track the radioactive material through your whole digestive system. The only thing is it takes forever bring something to keep yourself busy between pictures as it takes a long time that is the only thing. Hope this helps!
