Does anyone have any tips for using a wheelchair. I got one yesterday and it’s great…on flat surfaces. I’m not strong at all in my arms so the second the floor is slanted or there’s a ramp I just roll back down. They said I can’t get an nhs electric one though because I don’t use a wheelchair in the house therefore I don’t meet their criteria. Any tips? Cuz I’m just not strong enough to go up ramps and hills myself

When going uphill turn backwards and pull. It sounds silly, but works for a lot of situations. Also time, if you just got it yesterday those muscles aren’t going to be used to working this way yet. Dm if you need more wheelie support. ❤️

It’s definitely a struggle I’m currently dealing with that too. Make sure you lean forward it helps a bit. I’ve been looking into a smart drive assist.
