Ur so right AuntBeeDoesGames I use grounding techniques every day as often as I need to that helps also u can go to your happy place pick a place in your mom example: a beach the ocean your favorite place u went on vacation or think back even to your very first kiss with a person u had a crush on this really works also

Honestly it sounds stupid but medication and breathing techniques
5senses grounding technique or other grounding techniques. Bring yourself back into the now...not then... you are safe and that thought could happen, but logically the odds are more against it happening than it is to happen. Count how many blue things you see red things etc...is another grounding technique...talk to yourself like you would do to a friend going through what you are going through....what would you say to your friend if they were in your shoes...and do what you would do for your friend to yourself. You are enough, you are doing your best no matter what that looks like, and you are worth far more than any diamond in the world (takes a lot of pressure to make the best diamonds...shine bright like a diamond!
