I’m so tired I think I have seasonal depression. I’m taking vitamin d gummies what else can I do? I’m on adhd stimulants so I’m scared to drink coffee). I also already have a happy light.

I try to find little things that bring me joy. For example I enjoyed the feeling of the snow falling a few nights ago.

@Captain_Honey little things are what have kept me going for the longest. And it usually has to do with nature for me. Spending time cuddled up with a blanket, in pajamas, with my morning coffee, sitting on the porch just looking out at my view. I think about how I feel, how it smells, what I hear. And I really try to take it all in. I'll never be right here where I am, in this moment, ever again. Take in all those little things.

when my depression gets worse in the winter i really need some kind of routine to help me out. i usually have a period at the beginning where it gets worse before it gets better, and i have to fight to get myself out of it but then it's all about keeping that momentum. some things i do are staying away from my bed once i wake up, preparing food for myself in advance, stepping outside daily, listening to music daily, opening the blinds the entire time i'm awake, taking a shower every day even if it's really short. i've also recently been making my showers cold right at the end to feel more "awake"?? it seems like i get endorphins from it at least long enough to start my day. ideally i'd exercise & that would boost endorphins but i don't have the energy so i'm giving myself permission to focus on other things right now.

Treat like “regular” depression. Some suggestions of things that help is social involvement, exercise/movement, therapy, journaling/art therapy, and if ur like me don’t forget to feed urself actual food not just snacks.

I'm an herbal girl. Bacopa and ashwagandha are my go-too's. I force myself to walk every couple/few days. Communicating mostly with strangers is far easier to forget about disturbing situations, lol. Yes, I'm also, agoraphobic to a degree. Along with a plethora of DSM-defined unjustifiable's Sending Love ❤️ and Light ✨️
