Issues with Processing Wellbutrin XL in Circular Form

Has anyone had issues processing welbutrin xl in the circular form? My body seems to process it out and my doctor has dismissed it as a "phantom shell" or something like that as if my body takes the medicine but not the outer shell? They switched me to a more traditional shape of wellbutrin xl but now I'm feeling like it causes WAY more anxiety now that my body seems to process it.... it's strange.

I started cymbalta and went off Wellbutrin and I'm much happier. A lot less side effects

Wellbutrin XL ramped up my anxiety. I switched to Lexapro and haven't looked back going on approximately 2 years now.

I took it for about a month and I lost 20 pounds (I was 16 and usually weighed 110) so this was a significant drop of weight and I developed hives on my arms and back of my thighs. I discontinued that medication when it put me in the hospital for low energy and fainting (weight loss). I switched to Zoloft (for depression and anxiety). I’ve been on it since and it works great for me.

When I tried Wellbutrin as a treatment for my anxiety I also suffered from more anxiety attacks. My doctor told me it's one of the side effects in some people. I switched the treatment to Fluoxetine and I found it helpful for my anxiety. I hope you also find a treatment that will be good for you.

I had the same issue with xl, my doctor switched me to half the dose but twice a day with the regular release and my body absorbs it, it’s something in the extended release coating that my body can’t break down. It’s more inconvenient since it’s not one pill and done for the day but I can tell it’s keeping the normal levels that it should be rather than the pill just passing through.
