Wellbutrin for ADHD: Experiences?

I’ve been on Wellbutrin for a few years for my depression and lack of energy. I’ve recently been diagnosed with ADHD, my doctor claims raising the dose of Wellbutrin should help with that but I don’t want to be on more of an antidepressant. Does anyone have ADHD and tried Wellbutrin for that? Did it work well or did you have better luck with an actual adhd medication?

I was on Wellbutrin for a while in addition to my ADHD medication, which helped but not significantly. I wouldn't use it as the only ADHD treatment.

Yes they tried me on Wellbutrin, the doctor finally figured it wasn't working when I had gotten to 1000 mg. Then was put on strattera, which worked wonderfully, at a much lower dose. Just 50 mg.

I've tried Wellbutrin and had a really good experience with it. It helped my ADHD and also my tendency for minor depression episodes. It's supposed to have much fewer side effects than the usual ADHD stimulant drugs so I would give it a shot for at least a few weeks.

Hi, I have ADHD and bipolar depression. I’m not currently on anything for my ADHD but they are treating my bipolar depression with a combination of Lamictal and Wellbutrin. I’ve been on both for 4 years and it’s helped a lot more than any of my ADHD medications ever did. I feel like I can focus more. I will add that I’m currently on 200mg of the Lamictal and 150mg of the Wellbutrin
