Struggling with Weight and Salt Intake

Here's my question I am 6'0 tall and I weight 195 lbs. I feel disgusting in my own body. I feel like it's contributed to the high salt diet that I have to have to control my POTS or I faint really easily and get very nauseous. My question is how do you maintain a healthy weight and salt intake at the same time? I believe that a lot of this weight is water weight.

I take SaltStick. I have trouble remembering to add salt to my food and the salt tablets help quite a bit.

That way you can consume less salty food. It allowed me to eat more things I used to before all of this

Try drinking things that are super hydrating but have lots of electrolytes. Electrolytes are forms of sodium that hydrate the body and increase blood volume. I drink watered down Gatorade all day and then I drink on mixed liquid IV It’s really helpful for me.

My provider (and information I found at the Mayo Clinic and other similar sources) mentioned that regular exercise is key in helping monitor and mitigate symptoms. I’m not sure exactly what you’re capable of doing, so definitely talk with your provider about where they think would be a good place for you to start if that’s something you’re interested in.

Have you talked to your provider about getting on a salt retainer? I use a prescription salt retainer for my Pots and it helps to the point that I don't feel like I need to constantly have salt with everything
