I have just started taking Seroquel SR at night, I’ve been on it a couple of weeks and have put on 4 pounds already! Do other people experience weight gain on this medication? Is there a way to control that?

I eat before I take my pill. That way whwn it does kick in, I will only snack a bit here and there before falling asleep. I gained about 25lbs before figuring this out.

It's known to make people put on weight. I had lost weight down to my goal, held it there for almost a year. Then started taking seroquel and went right back up!

No i think is the worst medicine ever i gained 100 pound and when i ask my doctor if she could take me off instead of gradually take me off she cut me off completely so i had withdrawals bad until i spoke to her today and shes like yes some people can get it but not everyone so i asked her if shecould gradually take me off and she said k , but pñz dont stop taling it company cause ull have really bad withdrawals so if u want to ask ur doctor if she can take u off cause ur gaining too much weight ask her if she could gradually take u off k

I'm on it but not the XR, and have no appetite but that could be a side effect of my MDD idk
