Weight Gain on Mirtazapine: Anyone Else?

Has anyone else dealt with a severe amount of weight gain while on Mirtazapine?

I've kept myself at a good weight because of how well I eat, but I can't seem to get rid of this belly that I got after overeating this last Sunday. I didn't feel full after my meal so I ate more. It's hard being on Mirtazapine

@frankadella it is very effective for insomnia. For me it's too effective. Makes me so drowsy

@Sillybillie are you taking it for insomnia? I have a very hard time staying asleep throughout the night.

I’ve been taking trintellix works great so far for me. No major side effects . I was on Prozac at first but it just didn’t fully help.

Thank you guys, unfortunately my dr didn’t warn me about this before I started the med. but it’s also the only med that allows me to sleep through the night. I’m trying to pace myself with food/meals etc.

Yes, unfortunately. I’m just hungry all the time. I try to eat arranged and big meals so I’ll be satisfied but I end up eating snacks after every meal.

Yes, it's very normal. It gives you the munchies nearly the same way weed does.
