I’m feeling a bit crazy today. I recently tried weed to treat anxiety/ chronic pain for the first time in almost three years. Yesterday I tried a full 10mg edible and it was awful. Terrible panic and excruciating stomach bloating/gas pain. And my joint pain was intolerable. Today I cut the dose to 2.5mg and it was the same: awful physical pain. My mental discomfort was not as bad, but still not great. Does ANYONE relate to this? I remember this used to happen before when I would use thc. But whenever I google it or talk to anyone about it I get absolutely no answers. Everything is telling me it should be the opposite affect? What is happening?!

Try smoking it. Not to much. If you don’t get some relief in minutes… it’s not for you. It’s very important to set yourself up for success. The meal and drink quantity the day before will affect the morning routine. My norm is complicated that way because of outside influences like dinner out!

I find edibles make me physically ill. I can smoke just fine without any nausea. But it may just be the edibles, because they also make my mom sick. I know there are capsules you can take of CBD that could maybe help.

Oh my the first time I tried an edible it was 10mg and I wanted to die! I couldn’t stop shaking uncontrollably, I blacked out many times, and it took hours for me to feel decent again! Everyone reacts differently and it sucks that it doesn’t work the same for everyone😂

It’s good to know I’m not the only one. It’s making me question if my pain is even real! Like I feel it when I’m sober too but it feels unbearable when I’m high and I just don’t understand why! So at least it’s not just me, because I was starting to worry that I’m imagining all my symptoms, sober or not…

you might try 1:1 or 1:2 thc to cbd ratio edibles? they may get you the pain relief without as much of the symptoms. you could also take it with gasx and see if that helps. i did have some wax that i used that gave me diarrhea almost every time, so i get the gi distress with it. and my joints almost always hurt while i'm on thc, i just don't care as much as when im sober haha

@anemone funny how the gut will affect the joints.

Everyone reacts differently to weed! When I tried it, I had a severe panic attack that led to essentially a psychotic event. I feel you with being upset that it doesnt work on you :(

I use many treatments for any given day because of the daily problems. I have tried pot in pill form. And edibles Smoking it is more controllable as far as the correct dose to help. Without going to far. Keep your meals small and get on an easy to digest plan.
