Weaning off Gabapentin: Need Help!

Does anyone have experience weaning off of gabapentin? I have been trying to get off mine the past week and it’s been brutal. My doc gave me a plan to follow but it’s still rough. Any help or idea when this gets better?

I experienced that but had to be put back on. If they are doing it correctly, it shouldn’t be that hard on you

Please reach out to your doctor and tell him how are you feeling. You have to do it more slowly, good luck🙏🏻

Oh my! Thank you guys for your experience. I’ve been trying to drop the dose every four days which is fast to be off in two weeks. I should slow down bc I’m having trouble with withdrawal. It’s just so tricky bc I need to be off to re-evaluate symptoms before having an injection done. Maybe I’ll move it. I can’t have this last months. Ugh.

I was supposed to do mine over the course of a month but I had an allergic reaction so I had to quit immediately and I was feeling the effects for over a month

For getting off gabapentin, you have to go really really slow! Like, over the course of a few months slow. It's a pain but it's worth it to not have withdrawals in my opinion!!
