Walking with a cane for the first time

I went walking with a cane for the first time and it's great!! My hand got sore while using it, but that went away quickly with rest, and it was worth it for how much it reduced my leg pain. I used to love going on walks but I couldn't do that as much anymore because of my pain. I've been unsure about getting a cane for a while now but I definitely don't regret it. If you're wondering whether or not to get a mobility aid, please do! They help so much <3

I haven't had this issue myself, but you could try a quad cane! The wider base would provide more stability

I have trouble using a cane due to balance issues. Have you had any problems like this? If so is there anything that can help?

I was going to suggest a quad cane base too. My Mom uses one and her balance is much more steady now. I still use a single base but if there comes a time that a quad base will help I will def consider using it.

I use a cane as well and it has helped tremendously! I was unsure about it as well bc people look at me oddly like I’m too young to need a cane. But I use it more now and it helps so much! ❤️
