I have this thing where sometimes I wake up gasping for air in the middle of the night. It used to happen before I got my GERD under control and I would choke on stomach acid, but it hasn’t happened in years until recently. Now, it happens a few times a week and it just started when I began the Rybelsus. Is it and acid reflux thing? Is it an asthma response? Is it related to the med at all? I have no idea what’s going on and it’s making me scared to sleep.

I cannot provide a specific answer based on the provided context, but some individuals with GERD have experienced shortness of breath and acid reflux issues during sleep. It is important to consult your doctor about your symptoms and any potential connection to your medication.
