Struggling to Breathe While Laughing Due to Vocal Cord Dysfunction

I have Vocal Cord Dysfunction, but I never really did any of the breathing exercises after I got diagnosed. I just always forget I guess. But one thing that has always happened to me is if I’m laughing really really hard, my throat starts to close up and I really have trouble breathing. But I’m also laughing, so hard it’s hard to calm down and let my throat relax, so it’s honestly kind of scary. It used to only happen just in very rare occasions, I would have to be laughing REALLY hard. But it has been slowly happening more and more often. If i’m laughing even mildly hard I struggle breathing and my throat feels like it’s closing. It’s kind of scaring me. Does/did anyone else have this issue? Did anything help improve it? I’m guessing I probably just need to do vocal exercises :/ I just know I’m going to struggle with that.
