I’m not sure if anyone can help me but, it might be an effect of my depression or something else, but during the day I get “dreams” (I’m not exactly sure what to call them) they are really vivid/realistic and very horrific at times. I’m not sure what to do about them, I’m not even sure what to call what I’m experiencing

That sounds like intrusive thoughts. I daydream constantly throughout the day and my thoughts are very vivid and photorealistic (I think in pictures like Temple Grandin). Sometimes those thoughts can be very disturbing or intense. I would talk to your doctor or therapist about intrusive thoughts.
I call them night terrors since they feel real but aren’t

I get these dreams too when I’m really anxious or depressed. It helps talking about them with someone and understanding that they are just dreams that is all
@Rosy_Izzy do you know what they’d be called? I’ve tried to do research but I can’t find anything.
