Same here! My partner thinks I am autistic and honestly I can’t tell if it’s trauma or autism that results in my behaviors. Maybe both!

I'm diagnosed with autism, I support self-DX. If you've done proper and thorough research and believe you have it, you are allowed to say so! :) don't let the close-minded people on the internet stop you from taking care of your mental health

Hello, I hope this app finds you well. Although I am not autistic, I have been diagnosed with ADHD and we are basically just brain cousins (lol something like that!) I hope you’re able to find a good community here!

I'm also self-dx, my partner has a psych degree. He said he had diagnosed me when we first met before he was in college, because the first thing I did was send him lizard pictures xD and getting his degree only solidified his decision lol

Welcome! I have been informally diagnosed, in that my psychiatrist and therapist agree with my self-dx, but none of us see a use for a formal diagnosis at this time. Before I talked to them about it, it was difficult to feel like a “valid autistic person,” but the ND community is so accepting of self-dx. I hope you find this app and all of us on it helpful!!
