Considering VBAC after difficult first birth

I had a baby in 2019. I was induced, and the induction worked well, but the baby would not fit through my pelvis. He had bruises on his face from me trying to push him out. I had to have a csection to get him out. I'm pregnant again and due in August. I'm afraid not to have a planned C-section since I couldn't get my son out before. Would it be crazy for me to attempt a vbac?
